--- 真のベーシックはシックとなる ---
Bechics（ベシックス）は2016年8月13日、東京・中目黒にOPENしました。
Bechics（ベシックス）とはBasicとBe chicのアナグラムであり、
二つの言葉が持つ意味をコンセプトにした”大人のための上品で芯のあるスタイルをつくる場所”として名付けました。
「ベーシック」と「シック」を基準に選んだ商品は強く美しいという共通点を持ち、端正な佇まいの背景には
優れた「美意識・技術・品質・伝統・文化」そして、一点を追求した先に見える創造性が裏打ちされています。
また、シックには何にも形容することができない曖昧なニュアンスが含まれます。
それは空気であり、心意気であり、或いはあなたらしさでもあるとも考えます。
これまでのファッションは政治や経済などヒトと社会、自然などが創る世の中の気分を映す鏡でもある一方、
映画・音楽・アートなどと同じように、未来への希望を込めて生み出す夢のようなものでもありました。
また、それらの影響を受けたトレンドが次々と生まれてくる事もファッションの面白さとして欠かせませんが、
いまは一時的な高揚感だけでなく、自ら考え価値を選択する事がとても大切な時代だと感じます。
それは、ある日ふと気づく花の美しさやかけがえのない家族や友人と過ごす時間のように、
ファッションも温もりやつながりを感じられる事がより求められるようになったと言えるのではないでしょうか。
言い換えるなら「自分らしく生きること」がファッションにとって大きな意味を持つようになったいま、
Bechicsではあなただけにしかないたった一つのベーシック、そしてシックが存在すると考え、
一人一人のお客様らしさ、延いては姿形だけではなくヒトが持つ自然で美しい心をスタイリングしたいと考えています。
そして、「ファッションは楽しい。」
そんな当たり前のことをもう一度丁寧に、一から創っていくことを考え小さなお店を構えました。

Bechics opened its doors on August 13, 2016, in Nakameguro, Tokyo.
The name “Bechics” brings together the words “Basic” and “Be Chic.”
The meanings of these two words form the foundation of our concept: a place where those with a mature sensibility can cultivate a refined personal style with quiet strength.
Guided by “basic” and “chic,” we select pieces that share a certain strength and beauty. Behind their poised presence lie aesthetic sensibility, craftsmanship, quality, tradition, and culture, together with the creativity that emerges when a single idea is pursued to its fullest.
The word “chic” also carries an ambiguity that resists definition. We think of it as an atmosphere, a spirit, or perhaps a quality that is uniquely your own.
Fashion has long mirrored the mood of its time—a mood shaped by people and society, politics and economics, and the natural world. At the same time, like film, music, and art, it has given form to dreams and hopes for the future.
The new trends that continually emerge from these influences are an essential part of what makes fashion compelling. Yet we feel that today it is especially important to seek more than momentary excitement—to think for ourselves and choose what we value.
Just as we may suddenly notice the beauty of a flower or the preciousness of time spent with family and friends, perhaps we are also coming to seek a greater sense of warmth and connection through fashion.
At a time when being true to oneself has taken on greater meaning in fashion, we believe that what is basic and what is chic are unique to each person.
Through styling, we hope to bring out the individuality of each customer—not only in outward appearance, but also in the natural beauty of who they are.
Fashion is fun.
We opened our small shop to return to that simple truth and begin again, carefully, from the very beginning.
Nothing would make us happier than for Bechics to play even a small part in your everyday life.
